Bournemouth Woman Seriously Hurt Following Collision With Car

A 20-year-old woman has been seriously hurt following a collision with a car in Bournemouth. Officers are trying to trace a driver of red Nissan X-Trail.


It happened outside Coffee and Dice on Christchurch Road on Friday night around 10.30pm.

The pedestrian a 20-year-old Bournemouth woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The red Nissan X-Trail failed to stop at the scene.

Officers say the driver of a red Nissan X-Trail didn't stop and checks show the car may have travelled through Hampshire as well as Sussex.

Police Constable Tim Gooding, of the traffic unit, said: “A number of enquiries have been carried out so far to try and locate the driver of the Nissan.

“It is believed that following the collision the vehicle has travelled through East Hampshire to the Worthing area of Sussex.

“I am appealing to anyone who knows the current location of the vehicle, or who may have seen it travelling out of the county since the time of the collision to contact Dorset Police.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the manner of driving of the Nissan immediately before or after the incident.

“If you have any have information about the identity of the driver please get in touch.”
