Police in Portsmouth are looking for this boy after a 10 year old was assaulted in the city.

The victim had been playing in Buckland Park off Malins Road on the afternoon of Saturday, September 11.

He was approached by another boy, also aged aged about nine or 10, who demanded he hand over his scooter and grabbed hold of it.

The boys struggled, the victim fell over and the offender punched and kicked him in the face.

A man nearby saw what happened and spoke to the suspect who left the park without the scooter.

The suspect is described as

White, approximately nine to 10-years-old 5ft tall Short, dark brown hair with extended 'V' shape at nape of neck Wearing a Pompey FC top in blue and white, black tracksuit bottoms, stud earring in right ear

PC Steve Wroe from Portsmouth's Targeted Patrol team said:

"The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his left eye. His dad brought him to Fratton police station and later took him to a medical centre for treatment.

"The suspect was with some friends and said he was a Year 5 pupil, but the victim didn't recognise him or any of the others as being from his school.

"I'd like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, the man who spoke to the suspect or anyone who recognises the suspect from the e-fit.

"If it's your child you recognise, would you be happy to know he'd done this?"

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Wroe at Cosham police station on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
