Burglars Steal £10,000 Worth Of Wine

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after thousands of pounds worth of wine was stolen from a stable in Eversley in north Hampshire.

Sometime between 5pm on Tuesday, December 14 and 7am the following morning, a stable in Up Green was broken into. Once inside, a window was removed to gain access to a secure room, and 370 bottles of wine and Champagne have been stolen.

Some of the bottles are vintage and irreplaceable, and it is believed the total value is in excess of £10,000.

PC Mark Hoban, from the Hook Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said:

“This was a high value burglary and it is possible the offenders are not aware of the value of the items stolen and may offer it for sale to unsuspecting buyers.

“If you, or someone you know, has been offered any vintage wines or Champagne for sale, please get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Hoban at Hook police station on 101, or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
