CCTV Released After Garage Sweet Raid

Police are releasing CCTV of suspects in an incident of burglary that happened at the Shell petrol station at Sutton Scotney Services, soutbound on the A34 on Wednesday, March 30.

Between 4.40am and 5.10am four men have entered the store and three have stolen sweets from the displays. Another man has also jumped over the counter behind the tills and has attempted to take some cash in £10 and £20 notes from the shop
safe.

The cashier grabbed the money back before being pushed aside by the man who immediately exited the store with the other three suspects, all of them driving away in a vehicle.

 The cashier, a 22-year-old man, was not hurt during the incident.

 The suspects, who only got away with the sweets they had shoplifted, are described as:

 Man that jumped the counter:

 White

Medium build

Light coloured stubble

Wearing a hooded top and dark coloured jacket

The other three suspects are described as being aged between 20 and 30.

The vehicle they were in is described as possibly being a Silver Renault Scenic Megane, 53,54 or 56 plate.

PC Claire Smith said: "This appears to be an opportunist attempt and is being treated as an isolated incident. We would urge that anyone who recognises the suspects, has any information about the incident and who was responsible to contact us as soon as possible."
