Fawley Plant's Future To Be Discussed

A special event's being held at Fawley Power Station to update people living nearby on what will happen to the site.

The 42-year-old plant was closed down earlier this year.

It's now being cleared and taken out of action - eventually it will be demolished.

Kelly Brown's a community officer for Fawley - she tells us the long term future isn't known:

"It lends itself very well to maybe future power generations as it has the infrastructure there already but at this moment in time we don't know what the future is for that and we are going to be in discussions with local authorities on the possibilities."

The event today (Friday 24 May) is invite-only.
