Fruit Machine Theft in Gosport

Police in Gosport are seeking witnesses to a theft that happened at Playland amusements in Gosport High Street on Wednesday, May 19.

Between 9pm and 9.30pm, two men have gone into the shop with a key that opens fruit machines. One of them, wearing a pair of gloves, is seen to open a couple of the machines on CCTV camera.

It was subsequently discovered that £2250 in cash was missing from the machines.

The suspects are described as:

White Aged in his thirties Medium build Short cropped dark hair Wearing a blue t-shirt, dark coloured trousers and trainers.

White Aged between 40 and 50 years of age Slim build Grey hair Wearing a brown jacket, light coloured trousers, checked shirt and brown shoes

PC Kate Rainscourt said: "This is a high value theft and we are sure this isn't the first time that these men have committed this kind of offence, therefore we would like to be able to identify them. We would ask that the public take a look at the CCTV picture provided and if they recognise the men, they should get in touch as soon as possible."
