Hunt for iPhone Thieves in Portsmouth

Police have released CCTV stills after a mobile phone store in Portsmouth was targeted by thieves twice in two months.

On each occasion, a man entered the O2 store in the Cascades and stole two iPhones from the display before running off.
 
The first happened at around 11.40am on Monday, April 26. The suspect is described as:

* of Middle Eastern appearance
* in his 20s
* black, collar length hair in a centre parting
* wearing a khaki/green coloured waist length jacket with a checked shirt underneath, blue jeans and trainers
 
The second was on Saturday, May 1, at around midday and the suspect is described as:

* of Middle Eastern appearance
* early teens to late 20s
* short dark hair
* wearing a moustache and a vertical strip of hair under his bottom lip
* wearing a blue tracksuit with yellow piping around the chest and back
 
PC Stuart Lynch from the City Centre unit said:  “In both cases, a man entered the store and stole two demonstration iPhones by taking them and running off, ripping the alarm cable in doing so.
 
“The phones are worth about £400 each and we’ve been speaking with the store to put measures in place to prevent further thefts.
 
“I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises the suspects from the description or our CCTV stills.”
