Laziness Costing Us Millions

Heart's been told Hampshire and Dorset's wasting an estimated £80m on electricity bills EVERY year because we can't be bothered to switch off things like our TVs and computers.

In Hampshire it's £56m. For Dorset, it's £23m.

It comes after a government report showed up to 16% of our bills are taken up by appliances being left on stand-by.

It also revealed how the average person watches telly for over 6 hours a day, making it the most expensive part of our utilities, closely followed by lighting.

Energy saving group - Energenie - says most people are too lazy or just don't know it's costing them money.
