A 19-year-old man's died after his car was in a head-on crash with a lorry near Fareham.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision on the A32, at Knowle just north of Fareham, early this morning.
At around 3am a black Vauxhall Corsa travelling north was in collision with a white Scania HGV travelling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
The driver of the Corsa, a 19-year-old man from the Soberton area, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the HGV, a 52-year-old man from Southampton sustained chest injuries and was taken to the Queen Alexandra hospital.
The A32 is expected to stay closed both ways between the M27 at Junction 10 and the A334 Fareham Road at Knowle.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting Op. ARNEB.
