Police Officer Attacked

A police officer's been injured after helping a man and a teenager who were being beaten up by four men in Botley.

The officer suffered minor injuries and was treated for concussion by medical staff at the scene - he is now recovering at home.

A police vehicle was also damaged. 

A 35-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were left with cuts and bruises after being punched and having a bottle thrown at them.

The attack happened outside a house in Rowley Close at around 9pm on Friday June the 3rd.

DC Kerrie Malin, from Eastleigh CID, said:

"This appears to have been an isolated incident and residents in this area should not be concerned.

"Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which could help investigating officers with their enquiries.
