Portsmouth House Party Gets Out Of Hand

Police in Portsmouth are appealing for information following a public order incident in Waverley Road, Southsea between 1.20 and 1.50am on Sunday, November 27.

The incident followed a party at a house.
 
A 17-year-old boy was assaulted and sustained a large cut to his head.
 
Some nearby residents came out in the street.
 
Detective Constable Pete Bambury said “This is a very busy road with people walking along the street heading home from the pubs along Albert Road. There were numerous youths standing in the road, drinking, throwing bottlesand fighting between themselves. There were several arrests but I am trying to identify anyone that may have seen how the disorder started and why.”

Four teenagers have been arrested and bailed.
