Southampton Teenager Robbed At Knifepoint

Police in Southampton are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint by another man who demanded his mobile phone.

The 19-year-old was walking along St Marys Street towards City College at around 3am on Friday, December 30 when the man came up to him holding a 4 inch kitchen knife. He pointed it at the victim before taking the Blackberry
Torch phone worth around £300 and making off in the direction of Clifford Street.

The robber is described as: White, approximately 5ft 10 inches tall and in his mid 20s. He had a black hooded top with the hood over his head and he was wearing an item which covered his face.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the robbery to contact them. They are asked to call PC Mathew Card at Southampton Central Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously
