Thousands Of Euros Left At Airport

Southampton Airport is putting out a final call to a passenger who lost a considerable sum of Euros at the airport last year.

A bundle of several thousand Euros were found at the airport by staff and have been kept safe, but in line with the airport’s policy on lost property, time is running out for a claim to be made otherwise the money will be donated to charity.

Neil Garwood, Head of Customer Service for Southampton Airport, said:

"We will always do everything we can to reunite passengers with lost items and we were sure that we would get a call about this money, but no one has made contact yet.

"Ideally we would like to return it to its owner, but if they do not come forward by the end of the month, we will donate it to a local charity.”

Anyone who thinks that this money is theirs should send an email to southamptonfeedback@baa.com and give the airport the following information: The date they travelled, the details of their flight, how much money they lost and the denominations of the notes.
