Two Charged After Cannabis Raids In Portsmouth

On Wednesday, April 28, officers from the Copnor & North End and Baffins Safer Neighbourhoods teams executed a warrant at two addresses in Copnor.

One man was arrested after plants were found in a house on Manor Park Avenue.
 
47-year-old David William Irvine from Manor Park Avenue was charged with producing cannabis and bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Friday, May the 7th.
 
A second man, also 47, was arrested and cautioned on suspicion of possessing a class B drug after police executed a warrant at a house on Carnarvon Road.
 
On Saturday April the 1st, officers on patrol in the city centre discovered cannabis plants in a flat on Crasswell Street.
 
57-year-old Angus Campbell from Crasswell Street was arrested and charged with cultivating cannabis plants and using electricity without authority.
 
He was bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates on Tuesday, May 11.
