Valuable Antiques Stolen

Thousands of pounds worth of valuable antiques were stolen from a house in Hordle.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the incident, which happened sometime between Friday, April 1 and Sunday, April 3 at a property on Cottagers Lane. 

A bronze statue of a horse, a yellow brass and silver hunting horn and a stag’s foot with a silver cap were all removed from the property. The total value of these items is believed to be between four and five thousand pounds.

It is believed the offender smashed a window at the property before leaning in to take the items.

PC Olli Lucas, of Lyndhurst police station, said:

“Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour or suspicious vehicles in the Hordle area over the weekend to come forward and report it.”

“If you or anyone you know has been offered any items matching these descriptions for sale in recent days, or you have any information which could help police with their investigation, please contact us.”
