A man's been charged after a woman was twice forced into a van in Southampton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them if they saw a series of alleged assaults in the Millbrook area of the city between 2.30-3.30pm Sunday 9 June.
A 23-year-old woman told police a man forced her into a white Iveco Daily van in Tindale Road at about 2.30pm.
The man then drove away, but had to stop for traffic at the junction of Atherley Road and Green Lane, where the woman said she jumped from the van.
She told police she ran across a grassy area at Green Lane, but fell. The man is said to have parked by the junction of Thirlmere Road, picked up the woman and again forced her into the van.
A 26-year-old Southampton man was charged on June 12 with assault and false imprisonment.
On 13 June, he appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court, where he was remanded in custody to stand trial at Southampton Crown Court on 8 July.
Anyone who witnessed the incidents is asked to contact PC Victoria Wilkes at the Public Protection Investigation Unit at Southampton Central police station on 101.
