The Department of Health has set up a register where Devon patients can find qualified professionals who will offer them the high standards of treatment they would expect to receive when going for procedures like Botox.
A recent poll has revealed that more than three quarters of the people asked would be concerned about receiving Botox injections from doctors who are not properly qualified.
Horror stories of botched Botox and other cosmetic treatments given by unqualified practitioners and leaving patients with scarring or infections are common.
