South Hams turn blue

One old and one new as the Conservatives keep a grip on the South Hams.

In Devon South West incumbent MP Gary Streeter not only held on to power but despite a supposed surge by the Lib Dems it didn't carry into the overall result and Mr Streeter increased his overall majority.

New girl Sarah Wollaston won with nearly 22 thousand votes the Lib Dems came second with 17 thousand.

Sarah took over from disgraced MP Anthony Steen who stood down after the expenses scandal.
