2nd Murder Enquiry In Ipswich

A second murder enquiry's been launched in Ipswich.

The ambulance service was called in the early hours of Saturday 6th March 2010, to a property in Landseer Road, Ipswich.

Paramedics attended and a man believed to be local and in his 30s was taken to Ipswich hospital where he later died.

The death was brought to the attention of police late last night, Sunday 7th March 2010.  As a result of police enquiries, the death is now being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.  A post mortem will be conducted in due course.

 At 12.30am this morning, Monday 8th March 2010, a 36-year-old Ipswich male was arrested at his home address on suspicion of murder.  He is currently in custody at Ipswich Police Station awaiting questioning. A property in North Hill Walk, Ipswich is cordoned off and will be examined by scenes of crime officers.  An investigation is underway to establish what has happened.

At the weekend Heart learnt a man had been arrested on suspicion of murder in Ipswich. It's after police were told a man needed attention at a property in St Helen's Street on Saturday. He was declared dead at the scene.

A 44 year old from Ipswich was questionned by police and released the man on police bail until May.
