£50,000 Worth Of Class A Drugs Found

An investigation has started after the discovery of a large quantity of drugs.

Police were called just after 4pm on Thursday 21st April following reports of people acting suspiciously near to The Beerhouse Public House on Tayfen Road in Bury St Edmunds.

Officers arrived and discovered what they believe to be approximately £50,000 worth of Class A drugs in undergrowth at the side of the road.

Investigating Officer, DI Steve Denham, said: "While we analyse the substance and its purity, we would obviously like to know who it belongs to and how it came to end up being in the bushes. We’re looking to speak with anyone who saw any suspicious activity, people loitering near the pub or any unfamiliar vehicles parked up in the vicinity in the days leading up to Thursday afternoon."

Anyone with information in connection with this drugs find is urged to contact Suffolk Police on 01473 613500.
