Airman Killed in Bike Crash

The Airman killed during a motorcycle crash near Bury St. Edmunds on Saturday has been named as, 30-year-old, Staff Sgt. Dovvom Torres.

Suffolk Police were called to the scene at Cockfield after a call was made by a member of the public, informing them there had been a collision between three motorcycles.

Staff Sgt. Dovvom Torres was an Aircraft Fuel Systems craftsmen with the 48th Component Maintenance Squadron, Col. John T. Quintas described him as an "exceptional NCO and valued patriot", he went on to say "His family, Liberty wingmen, and countless friends in the United States Air Force will mourn his death. Please remember all of them tonight in your thoughts and prayers in the upcoming days and weeks ahead"

The rider of the second motorcycle, which also left the road, was taken to Addenbrookes by air ambulance, where he is currently in a critical but stable condition. The third rider was left unharmed.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Suffolk Police.
