Felixstowe: Man Charged With 24 Child Sex Offences

A 61-year-old man from Felixstowe's been charged with 24 child sex offences including sexual assault.

Ian Durrands of Cage Lane was arrested in February on suspicion of sexual offences and stalking.

He was released on police bail but has now been charged with 25 offences - 24 of them are sexual offences against children.

He's accused of 4 counts of sexual assaulting a girl under the age of 13.  He's also accused of making and possessing indecent photographs of children and two charges of distributing indecent images of children.

As well as the sexual offences he's charged with Durrands is also accused of doing an act which harmed a witness.

He is now due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday 26 June 2013.
