A carer has been charged after a man was murderd in Haverhill in Suffolk.


A carer has been charged with the murder of a man in Suffolk.

77 year-old Paul Norfolk died from head injuries at his home in Haverhill in Suffolk on Friday night.

49 year old Bunthawee Rimmer from Castle Lane in Haverhill is due in court in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday morning.

Ipswich Magistrates Court authorised a 36-hour extension of the custody time limit of the woman arrested on 31 December on suspicion of murder.

The arrest followed investigations into the discovery of a man’s body in a property in Castle Lane, Haverhill on Friday 30 December. 

He has since been named as 77 year old Paul Norfolk who died from a head injury.

The woman, aged in her forties, remains in custody at the Bury Police Investigation Centre with the custody extension expiring at around this morning at 9.30am.
