A 39-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a police officer following an incident in Ipswich on Sunday morning.
Officers on patrol in the town attended an incident outside a public house on Tower Street, Ipswich, at around 12:15am, when one of the officers was assaulted, receiving minor facial injuries.
Mohamed Feghoul, aged 39 and from Gippeswyk Road in Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. He was later charged with the offence before being released on police bail. He is due to attend South East Suffolk Magistrates Court on Wednesday 28th May.
