Ipswich: Murder Victim Named

Suffolk police have named a man found murdered in Ipswich yesterday morning as 37 year old Russell Capon.
Police were called to the address at Saturn Road at around 2.50am yesterday morning, Thursday 13 June, with an initial report of a woman being stabbed.
Police and the ambulance service attended the scene where a man was discovered with stab wounds. He was taken to Ipswich hospital but was later declared deceased.
A woman, in her 50s was also found at the scene with leg injuries. She was taken to Ipswich hospital and treated for her injuries but has since been released.
Formal identification of the deceased man has taken place and he is being named as Russell Capon, aged 37 years from Ramsgate Drive, Ipswich.
A post mortem was carried out yesterday afternoon and the cause of death has confirmed Mr Capon died as a result of stab wounds.
A 37 year old Ipswich man who was arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody. The man, who was initially taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, is currently under police arrest at hospital after feeling unwell in custody.
A police presence and cordon remains in place around the address in Saturn Road whilst police continue with their enquiries.
Police say they are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the early hours of Thursday 13 June in the area of Saturn Road, Ipswich.
