Ipswich: Police Arrest Two More In Investigation

Suffolk Police have made two more arrests as part of their investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in an Ipswich park.

Christopher Thompson, aged 35 and formerly of London Road, Ipswich was found deceased by a member of the public at around 6:50am yesterday morning in Chantry Park.

This afternoon a 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman both of no fixed abode were arrested in the town on suspicion of murder. They have since been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

A 42-year-old man from Ipswich, arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder has been bailed.

A Home Office post mortem examination in Mr Thompson’s death was held last night and the preliminary cause of death has been given as strangulation and assault injuries.
