Ipswich: Police Search For Armed Robber

Police are currently searching for a man in east Ipswich after an armed robbery at a shop in Freehold Road this afternoon (Wednesday 28 May).

At just after 4pm police received a report that a man had entered the Spar shop moments earlier armed with a knife and had money handed over by staff before leaving the premises. 

None of the staff were hurt during the incident.

The man is described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, of skinny build and with a thin dark moustache. He was wearing a black hooded top, possibly a zipped jacket, black bottoms and white trainers. He was also carrying a black draw string bag with the wording ‘BANK’ in white writing on both sides.
