Ipswich: Thirty People Arrested

Suffolk Police have arrested thirty people in the past week after an operation targeting those supplying class A drugs in Ipswich.

The intelligence led operation code named Operation Muzzle saw around 30 uniformed and plain clothed officers carrying out 16 search warrants at addresses in the town and two in London.

Out of the 30 arrests, 13 men and three women have already appeared before Magistrates Court charged with drugs offences, they are:

A 17 year old boy from London – three charges of supplying a controlled drug, two cocaine, one heroin.

Mohammed Aden, 18 years from Newland Road in London – eight charges of supplying a controlled class A drug, six cocaine, two heroin.

A 17 year old boy from London – two charges of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, one cocaine, one heroin.

Asim Edwards, 21 years from London Road in Ipswich – five charges of supplying a controlled class A drug, two cocaine, three heroin.

Rui Almeida, 23 years from London Road in Ipswich – one charge of supplying a controlled class A drug, cocaine.

Samuel Graham, 45 years from Morgan Drive in Ipswich – 12 charges: 10 supplying a class A drug, heroin, one being concerned in the supply of cocaine and one possession with intent to supply heroin.

Julie Chandler, 44 years fom Morgan Drive in Ipswich – three charges:  two supplying a controlled class A drug, heroin and one possession with intent to supply a class A drug, heroin.

Agne Dabulsykte, 25 years from Kings Way in Ipswich – four charges: two supplying a controlled class A drug, heroin and two supplying a controlled class A drug, cocaine.

Graham Kerry, 53 years from Christchurch Street in Ipswich – one charge of supplying a controlled class A drug, heroin.

Ricky Ballantyne, 46 years from Dandalan Close in Ipswich – five charges of supplying a controlled class A drug, heroin.

Keith Parchment, 50 years from College Street in Ipswich  - one charge of supplying a class A drug, cocaine.

Kenneth Voss, 32 years from Henslow Road in Ipswich – two charges of supplying a class A drug, one heroin, one cocaine and one charge of money laundering.

Akeem Long, 20 years from Samuel Court in Ipswich – five charges of supplying a class A drug, cocaine.

Chris Wilson, 33 years from Gt Gipping Street in Ipswich – one charge of supplying a class C drug.

Leonie Haynes, 26 years from Kings Way in Ipswich  - one charge of supplying a class A drug, cocaine.

Kwadjo Yeboah-Asante, 32 years from Hopton Road in London – two charges of being concerned in the supply of one crack cocaine and one heroin.

Eight men and one woman have been arrested for drugs offences and have been bailed to return at a later date, four men were arrested with no further action and a 52 year old Ipswich man was arrested and later cautioned for possession of cannabis.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Mattin from the Serious and Organised Crime Directorate who has been overseeing the operation said: “Targeted operations such as these often take weeks of organisation, to ensure we have the relevant information and intelligence required to carry out warrants and make arrests.

“Our aim is to disrupt organised crime groups who are working in the county, dealing in the supply of class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and the arrests and charges this week sends out a strong message that such criminal activity will not be tolerated here in Suffolk.”
