Ipswich: Woman Taxi Driver Robbed

Suffolk Police have been telling Heart a woman taxi driver's been robbed in Ipswich over the weekend.

It happened in Severn Road on Saturday 16 June at approximately 4.30am. A female taxi driver picked up two men from the High Street in Clacton-on-sea, Essex.  They asked to be taken to Ipswich and directed her towards Severn Road. As the car stopped, one of the men held the taxi driver back into her seat and stole an amount of cash. The men then left the taxi, walked up Lee Road and turned left.

The victim sustained bruising from the incident.

The first offender is described as a white man, aged early twenties, approximately 6 foot tall, of a slim build, clean shaven and was wearing a black polo shirt.

The second offender is described as a black man, aged early twenties, had a moustache and was wearing a blue and white chequered shirt and a Rolex watch.
