Kesgrave: Police Name Two People Found In House

12 December 2011, 06:38 | Updated: 12 December 2011, 07:18

Police investigating the discovery of two bodies at a house in Walker Chase in Kesgrave near Ipswich have named the people who died.

Officers were called to the address on the evening of Thursday 8th December as part of a missing person enquiry.

A light was on in the garage but there was no response. Officers became suspicious and forced their way into the garage at the property where they found the body of a man hanging. Entry was then forced to the home where the body of a woman was discovered in a bedroom.

Formal identification has now taken place and police can confirm the identity of the deceased as being 31-year-old Beverley Farrow and 43-year-old Darren Hunt both from the Ipswich area.

Post Mortem examinations were held at Ipswich Hospital on Saturday 10th December by a Home Office Pathologist, with the cause of death for Mrs Farrow being given as strangulation and the cause of death for Mr Hunt being given as hanging.

It is understood that the two knew each other and it appears that Mr Hunt may have taken his own life and that Mrs Farrow was the victim of homicide.

Officers remain on scene in Walker Chase but a second scene up in Halls Drift where a vehicle believed to belong to one of the deceased was discovered has now been lifted and the vehicle removed.

Detective Superintendent Julian Gregory, Head of the Joint Major Investigation Team, said:

"We will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Mrs Farrow and Mr Hunt fully but at this stage we are not looking for anybody else and as such there is not believed to be an ongoing threat to the wider public."

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Police on 101.
