Man Charged After Armed Robbery

A fourth man has been charged after an armed robbery at a jewellers.

It happened at Goldsmith Jewellers on Tavern Street in Ipswich just after 10am on Wednesday 15th of June when several men broke the shop window with a sledgehammer and stole a quantity of high-value watches.

Dean Armstrong was listed as wanted by Suffolk Police and Tuesday night was arrested by the Metropolitan Police at an address in Hackney.

The 20-year-old man from Islington in London was taken to Shoreditch police station before being brought to Suffolk. He was charged yesterday with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

He has been detained in police custody to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning.
