Suffolk police have confirmed that the man arrested on Tuesday 7th September, following a road traffic collision on Grafton Way in Ipswich, on Monday 30th August has been charged.
The arrest followed investigations into the incident in which a 43-year-old mn pedestrian was hit by a red Toyota MR2, causing him serious injuries. He is now recovering well at home.
43-year-old John Moir from Belstead Road in Ipswich has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop at an injury road traffic collision, failing to report a road traffic collision, driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance.
He will appear at the South East Suffolk Magistrates Court at 10am today.
