Man Charged After Stabbing

A 28-year-old man has been charged after an altercation on Friday night.

Police were called to Gaol Lane in Sudbury at around 10:35pm following concerns for an injured man. On arrival a man was found with a stab wound to his stomach and injuries to his arm. He was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital where he remains.

28-year-old Luke Cornwall, an unemployed man from Hawthorn Road in Great Cornard in Suffolk, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, wounding with intent and causing GBH without intent.

He has been remanded in custody at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and is due to appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court today, Monday 11th of July.
