Suffolk: 13 Arrests In Police Operation

Teams of officers carried out warrants across the county making arrests including for suspected drugs and weapons offences.

Operation Drawbridge, was held on Tuesday (22nd January), to target burglars and those suspected of handling stolen goods across Suffolk.

Eleven teams of officers carried out warrants across the county, whilst Police Community Support Officers provided reassurance to local communities.

Twenty four warrants were executed, 13 arrests were made, one man was reported for consideration of an offence and seizures were made of goods suspected to be stolen, quantities of drugs and offensive weapons.

A 20-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of possession of a section 1 firearm without a licence. He has been bailed to return to Bury Police Investiation Centre on Wednesday 6 March.

Michael Harvey, aged 34 and from Reynolds Avenue, Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of burglary and later charged with one count of burglary and one count of receiving stolen goods.

A 58-year-old man from Haverhill was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a non-class A drug and handling stolen goods. He was bailed to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on Friday 22 March 2013.

A 19-year-old man from Lowestoft was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He has been bailed to return to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre on Wednesday 13 March 2013.

Mark Lewis, a 38-year-old man from Larkhill Way, Felixstowe was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He was later charged with the offence which relates to an incident at Clinton Cards in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe between Wednesday 2 January 2013 and Sunday 6 January 2013.  He was remanded in custody and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning.

A 26-year-old man from Thetford was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.  He has been bailed to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on Thursday 21 March.

A 48-year-old man from Lavenham was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He is being questioned.

A 17-year-old boy from Ipswich was charged with possession of a knife in a public place and was remanded in custody and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court on wednesday morning.

A 17-year-old boy from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He was bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Monday 18 February 2013.

A 38-year-old man from Bungay was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He received a caution.

A 28-year-old man from Felixstowe was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug. He has been bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Monday 11 March 2013.

A 17-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug. He was bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Monday 11 March 2013.

A 23-year-old man from Stowmarket was arrested today, Wednesday 23 January on suspicion of possession of a non-class A drug. He is currently being questioned at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

A 31-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.  He was bailed to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on Thursday 21 March 2013.

A 29-year-old man from Lowestoft was reported for consideration for the offence of possession of a class B drug.
