A teenage girl has told police that she was sexually assaulted.

She says it happened on Southwold High Street in Suffolk at around 9.50pm on Monday night (22nd).

The girl was walking along when she became aware of a group of six men walking towards her laughing and wolf-whistling. As they got closer one of the men broke from the group, went up to her and grabbed her breasts, sexually assaulting her. The group then ran off toward the seafront.

The 17-year-old was uninjured but sustained brief pain and was left extremely shocked by the assault.

Police need to trace a man described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build with dark brown spiky hair and a face described as scrawny, wearing a light coloured long sleeve shirt and black trousers.

Officers are making enquiries to trace the individual involved and are asking anyone with information to get in touch.

They are urging the other members of the group to come forward and would also like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or anyone with information about the group or the man responsible.
