70 firefighters have worked through the night to try to put out a fire at a thatched home in Thurston.
Fire crews from Needham Market, Stowmarket, Wickhambrook, Bury St Edmunds, Elmswell, Ixworth, Mildenhall and Newmarket were all called to help. Special appliances from Bury St Edmunds, Ixworth, Newmarket and Ipswich East were also brought in.
It took firefighters four hours to bring the flames under control and a fire crew from Sudbury's been brought in to take over the clear up operation.
The fire's taken so many firefighters that crews from Cambridgeshire were asked to provide cover for the county if there were any other incidents to deal with.
The Salvation Army also stepped in to provide refreshments for the dozens of firefighters working at the scene.
