Volunteers

If you are not up to running 26 miles, it doesn't mean you can't be part of the Brighton Marathon.

1,200 marshalls are needed to make things run smoothly - and Heart needs some help in the Charity Village as well.

The Marathon's Head of Volunteers and Community, Tracey Allen, has told Heart that volunteers are vital to make it a fun, safe event:

So, if you would like to volunteer, here are the options:

Support the Have A Heart runners and help in the Charity Village.

Entertainment Stages

Along the 26.2 mile marathon route there will be 12 stages to entertain and keep the runners spirits high and also to entertain spectators whilst they wait for loved ones to pass by.

The main stage at the bottom of Grand Avenue plans to be the most exciting of them all with live music and other activity soon to be announced.

Because this is the Brighton Marathon the organisers are now looking for local bands and artists to be a part of this historic day.

If you would like to be a part of the event email Seb@brightonmarathon.co.uk with a link to your myspace page, facebook website, youtube link or alternatively send in your demo.

We are looking for a variety of acts so whether you are a live band, DJ, dance troop, community choir, or jazz act please get in touch right away.
