Brighton Woman Hospitalised After A23 Crash

A Brighton woman is in hospital with serious head injuries after a collision on the A23 last night.

Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A23 at Bolney, at about 5.24pm yesterday (28 September).

A black Nissan Qashqai collided with a white Volkswagen Crafter on the southbound carriageway.

The Qashqai was spun around and overturned off the nearside carriageway.

The Nissan driver, a 61-year-old woman from Brighton, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.

The woman had serious head injuries, and she remains in hospital at this stage.

The VW driver was uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Anyone who saw what happened - in particular anyone who has dash cam footage - is asked to report it to police online quoting Operation Share.
