A 40-year-old Brighton man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man found fatally stabbed in the communal hallway of his home.
Gordon Stalker, 51, was discovered unconscious when police and ambulance workers were called to Elm Grove in Brighton just after 10am on Monday February 15.
Despite efforts to revive him, Mr Stalker died shortly afterwards. A post-mortem examination found his death was caused by a number of stab wounds to the chest and side of his body.
Mr Stalker, who was single and ran his own electronics company, was described by his family as a ``popular, fun-loving man''.<
Stephen Dunne, of Chates Farm Court, Brighton, was remanded in custody by Brighton magistrates and will appear at a preliminary hearing at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday.
