Former GP denies child sex assaults

Dr. Antony Collis, who used to work at the Belmont Surgery, Wadhurst, also pleaded not guilty to nine counts of making indecent images of children.

Dr. Collis, 58, from Stonegate in East Sussex, was appearing at Lewes Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing. He is alleged to have indecently assaulted seven girls between June 1995 and August 2003, when they were all under the age of 14.

Bespectacled Collis, who stood in the dock at Lewes Crown Court dressed in a grey suit and maroon tie, pleaded not guilty to all 22 charges.

Judge Richard Brown granted him bail to appear at the same court for trial on October 11th 2010.
