Police ask for help

Three teenage boys were the victims of an assault by four other teenagers in Place Lane, Seaford, at around 10.30pm on Saturday, 17 April.

 

The boys were approached by the suspects, who demanded their mobile phones. When the victims refused they were hit several times. Fortunately, they managed to run off.

Detective Constable Richard Holder from Lewes CID said: "This was a particularly nasty assault with the threat of violence and all for a mobile phone and a beanie style hat."

Police are currently viewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.

One of the suspects is described as white, male, of medium build and was wearing white trainers, black trousers, light coloured zip top, and had a dark coloured baseball cap on his head.

A second suspect is described as white, of slim build with floppy brown hair and wearing dark trainers and a checked shirt with a white zip top.

A third man that police would like to speak to is white of slim build with dark short hair. He was wearing dark trainers, dark trousers and a light coloured t-shirt and zip up top.

The fourth suspect is described as white, very tall and slim with floppy dark hair and was wearing white trainers, dark trousers and a green zip top.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or heard the assault taking place to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1981 of 17/04 or the independent charity, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
