Heart’s Showbiz Kid feature on Heart Network, February-March 2026 – Specific Rules
1. Heart’s ShowBiz Kid feature (‘Feature’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Feature will run from Thursday 26 February to Friday 13 March 2026 on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakton & Amanda Holden & The Heart Network (excluding Scotland)
2. IMPORTANT: The Feature is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Sending in a Submission into Heart Network, as detailed below, constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.
Details of the Feature:
3. To enter the Feature, the presenters will provide details on air asking you to text into Heart Breakfast on 8 21 22 if you have a child aged between 6-12 years old who is keen to become Heart’s Showbiz Kid. This is stage one.
4. Stage two will involve sending in a video audition which will be judged by the Heart Breakfast team to finalise four finalists to progress onto the third (and final) stage. Clear details of what the video audition will entail will be explained off air to parents/guardians.
5. Stage three will involve four finalists (one per day) coming on air Monday to Thursday week commencing 16 March.
6. Stage one will be open at 8am on Thursday 26 February and close at 8am on Friday 13 March. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Feature.
7. Bulk, automated, machine assisted, third party, syndicate or other group entries are prohibited and we will disqualify any entries (and withhold or reclaim any associated prize from you) which, in our reasonable opinion, appear to have used any of these entry methods or, for example (without limitation), entries or votes that have been made from the same IP address, email address, postal address, telephone number, or similar or entries which we, at our sole discretion but acting reasonably, consider to be suspicious or fraudulent.
8. If we know or suspect you are trying to enter or have entered this Feature by using more than one phone number or if we know or suspect you are using variations of your name, we reserve the right to disqualify any relevant entry(ies) and exclude you from this Feature and also permanently exclude you from entering any of our features or promotions.
9. At 8am on Thursday 26 February, the producers of Heart Breakfast will begin to assess messages sent into the show and will continue to do so until 8am on Friday 13 March (stage one). Entries that are deemed appropriate will be contacted by one of our representatives via telephone on the telephone number on which you entered. You will need to respond to our representatives by sending in your child’s audition (see eligibility section below) by Thursday 12 March 2026 to be included (stage two). Stage three will be made up of four finalists on air week commencing 16 March 2026.
10. We may publish and publicise the final winner’s name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county), in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Feature ; subject always to our Privacy Policy and all applicable laws. As well as only with parental/guardian consent, see also the ShowBiz Kid Privacy Notice.
11. In relation to the Feature winner you understand that we may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Feature, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable in connection with the Feature , unless you object to your and/or your guest’s information being published or made available. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.
Eligibility:
12. The Feature is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry. Entrants over the age of 18 must enter on behalf of a child aged 6-12. Entrants must be the parent or legal guardian of the child. Entrant under the age of 18 will not be able to enter on behalf of themselves.
13. We rely on parental consent to use your child’s personal data. By submitting the video, you consent to us reviewing the footage for casting purposes. We need to prove that a parent or guardian is submitting the video. As such:
· You must introduce your child on camera at the start of the video (e.g., I’m [name], this is [child’s name], and here’s their Showbiz Kid audition”).
Videos without this introduction will be deleted immediately and not considered.
14. Finalists must be available to come to air via Facetime, Zoom or Teams between 8am-10am week commencing 16 March 2026, dates or times may be subject to change around programming commitments.
15. Multiple entries are not permitted.
16. Before embarking on the first Showbiz Kid interview we will explain what is required and how the interview (the Contribution) will be used across our platforms (on air, online and across social media). This is explained below and also within the Showbiz Kid Privacy Notice.
Details of the Feature:
17. One winning entrant will receive the opportunity to interview a celebrity guest/s on Heart Breakfast.
18. Details of the interview will be given to the winning entrant ahead of the interview. Times, dates and locations will be confirmed when the guest is booked on Heart Breakfast. Times, dates and locations will vary.
19. Heart will provide travel to any interviews as part of this Feature. Any additional costs and expenses will be the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian of the winner.

Data Protection:
21. Personal data we collect:
To audition your child for the "Showbiz Kid" Feature, we need:
· Your name and contact details (email address, phone number).
· Your child’s name and age.
· A video (max 30 seconds) of your child.
We use this data solely to help us find a child to undertake an on-air interview feature with a celebrity.
If your child is selected, their interview will be broadcast on Heart Breakfast and may be shared on Global’s radio channels, website and official social media platforms for promotional purposes. Comments on these social media posts are actively monitored and may be moderated where necessary for safeguarding purposes.
Personal data may also be disclosed to Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
22. By entering a Feature, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Feature will be processed as set out above and in accordance with the Showbiz Kid Privacy Notice which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy before entering any Feature. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Feature, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us with their personal data.
23. You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from when you enter a Feature. If you choose to opt-in, we will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see Global's Privacy Policy for more details). You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by unsubscribing.
24. We and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Feature. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK we will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place.
25. When you enter a Feature or Promotion we will retain your personal data for up to three years for internal purposes and to comply with our regulatory obligations. You may request the erasure of your personal data by emailing privacy@global.com. If your data is erased prior to the conclusion of a Feature or Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Feature or Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Feature or Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
