Bicester Attack Victim In Critical Condition

A 26-year-old man in critical condition following assault in Bicester. found unconscious in Causeway.
Officers were called by the ambulance service at about 3.55am today (11/6) following reports that a 26-year-old man had been assaulted and had been found unconscious in Causeway.
Officers attended the scene, where the man had sustained serious head injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
A scene watch is currently in place while officers carry out an investigation into this incident.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Paul Powell, of Abingdon Local CID, said: “This incident has left a man with serious head injuries, and he remains in hospital at this time.
“We have made an arrest in connection with this incident, however, we are continuing to carry out a full and thorough investigation.
“Members of the public may see an increased number of officers in Bicester today while this takes place.
“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information which could relate to it, however insignificant they think it could be.
“If you have any details which you think could help our investigation, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH. He is currently in police custody.
