Bracknell Drivers Warned Millennium Way Partly Closed

Bracknell's Millennium Way is shut Westbound this morning as part of building work on a new 1,300 space car park.

Over the coming months, in order to safely remove and relocate cranes within The Lexicon site and complete construction of the new 1,300 space car park, there will be a number of closures on the westbound carriage of Millennium Way.

Closure dates:
Saturday August 6 2016, 06:00 until 18:00 on Sunday August 7 2016
Saturday August 20 2016, 06:00 until 18:00 on Saturday August 20 2016
Saturday September 3 2016, 06:00 until 18:00 on Sunday September 4 2016

Simon Russian, development manager, for Legal and General on behalf of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said: "These roadworks and the accompanying closures are a necessary part of the regeneration of the town centre.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and remain committed to keeping disruption for residents and motorists to a minimum while these works are carried out.”

It will also be necessary to close the eastbound carriageway on Millennium Way for scheduled re-surfacing works between the hours of 09:30- 15:30 on Monday August 15 2016, Tuesday August 16 2016 and Wednesday August 17 2016.

Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “These works, which are central to our exciting new town centre, are scheduled over the school summer holidays in order to create as little inconvenience to our residents and visitors as possible and we are grateful for peoples’ patience during this time.”
