Thames Valley Police want to hear what you think about front counter opening times.

Ch Supt David Lewis, Neighbourhood Policing and Partnerships, said:

“We are currently undertaking a project to redesign our counter services, with the aim of providing a more efficient, high quality function.

“Thames Valley Police is committed to maintaining accessibility to the general public, and I would like to reassure everyone that no front counters will be closed. Our intention is to maintain a broad geographic presence of counter services across the Thames Valley area.

“There will, however, be changes to the current opening times, which will be realigned to make the best use of our resources, while continuing to meet public needs. The exact opening hours will be determined following further consultation.

A consultation is now taking place between the 5th and 30th September. People can get involved via an electronic survey on the Thames Valley Police website. You can also get in touch via email or post at: counterserviceschangeproject@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

Or: Hazel Murray, Force Counter Services Change Manager, Thames Valley Police, Oxford Road, Kidlington, OX5 2NX.

Data collected during the consultations will be taken into consideration by the Review Project team as they develop the new counter services model for the Force. The changes will come into force in April 2012.
