Conservatives Hold Witney Seat After Former Prime Minister Stands Down

Robert Courts has been elected the new MP for Witney after former Prime Minister David Cameron stood down from the role.
Robert Courts has been elected as the MP for Witney.
He won by a majority of more than 5700.
The nearest candidate was the Lib Dems, who slashed the previous majority of 25,000 to 5,702.
Robert Courts gave a speech after the announcement and mentioned his predecessor, former Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Swooping in to second spot, Lib Dem candidate Liz Leffman spoke to Heart's reporter, Bryony Waite.
Also at the count, Green's candidate Larry Sanders.
