Four Arrested Near Oxford Over Murder

Three men and a woman have been arrested near Oxford in connection with the murder of a 20 year-old.

Police investigating Joel Richards' stabbing in Birmingham stopped their car on the M40 - and arrested them on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A 17 year-old boy's being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Officers still continue to make enquiries into the death and continue to appeal to the public for information.

Superintendent Tom Chisholm, from West Midlands Police, said: “This continues to be a fast paced inquiry and we have made five arrests over the bank holiday weekend.

“However, our work is not done and we continue to investigate the circumstances that led to this young man’s death.

“We will still continue to liaise with Joel’s family and our thoughts remain with them as they continue to come to terms with their loss."
