A second body has been found at a house in Littlemore, a week after a woman was found dead.
Police discovered the body of a woman in her 50s last Thursday (21/11), but were unable to search the property in Cowley Road thoroughly because it had been deemed structurally unsound.
Following work to secure the property, officers were allowed inside today (28/11) and discovered the body of a second woman. She is thought to have been in her 70s.
Investigating officer Det Insp John Turner said: “There continues to be nothing at this stage to suggest these deaths are suspicious.
“Investigations are now being carried out to determine the circumstances.”
A post-mortem has been carried out on the first body and was unable to determine a cause of death.
It is thought the two women were mother and daughter and a police spokesperson said they're believed to a have been dead 'a while'.
