37-year-old woman dies and two young children injured in M4 Crash near Reading

Police say a 37-year-old woman has died and two children aged 3 and 5 are in hospital following a collision along the M4 in Berkshire yesterday afternoon after a car left the road and hit a tree.

It happened between junction 11 and 10 around 2pm in the afternoon.

the children who are 3 and 5 are being treated at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford while a man in his latte 30's has since been discharged from hospital

Det Sgt Ashley Hannibal from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet been spoken to by police to get in touch please.

“This was a single vehicle collision in which, sadly, a woman in her thirties died. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the many members of the public who stopped and helped immediately after the collision prior to the emergency services’ arrival.”
