The Mum of a teenager who drowned in a bath at a care home in Headington has received an abusive voicemail message.
A woman who claims to work for the Southern Health NHS Trust has left an abusive voicemail message for the mum of Connor Sparrowhawk, who drowned in a bath in Oxford.
The 18-year-old was in the Trust's care when he suffered an epileptic seizure and drowned.
Dr Sara Ryan got the voicemail on the 29th April and wrote a blog about the call and posted the recording.
Thames Valley Police say the message has been passed on to them and Dr Ryan made officers aware of a malicious phone message from the 29th April. It has been recorded as a report of a malicious communication and is currently under investigation.
Southern Health are involved as the woman claims to work for them, a Southern Health spokesperson says,
"We have been made aware of the phone message through social media, and the content is deeply concerning. The Trust cannot condone such behaviour and we take matters like this extremely seriously.
We urge anyone with any information to get in contact with us so a full internal investigation can take place."
